The role of artificial intelligence in the real estate industry has grown rapidly in recent years. For Linear, this is not a new direction, but rather the next phase of long-term development. The AIDA AI agent is not a concept for the future, it will be a tool in use before the summer.
Linear has integrated the AI agent into the core of its brokerage system and ecosystem.
In practice, this means that agents can, for example, create property viewing with the help of AIDA AI and ask questions about a property using natural language. For instance, an agent can schedule a viewing for a client while simultaneously checking the maintenance fee directly without needing to search for the information separately or navigate to the property page.
At the same time, AIDA also supports system usage: agents can ask questions about the functions of the Linear system and receive answers in the flow of their daily work. AIDA can also be asked about industry best practices and how to apply them in real-life situations. However, the use of AIDA AI is not limited to these cases the solution will be gradually expanded across different stages of the brokerage process.
“The real value of AI is created when it is connected to data and integrated into the agent’s daily tools. We are now bringing an AI agent into agents’ everyday use. This is not a vision, but a set of tools that will transform day-to-day work,” says Miro Eriksson, CEO of Linear.
The goal is to gradually move toward a model where agents can manage brokerage processes more comprehensively with the help of AIDA, while the brokerage system operates in the background. One example is that AIDA can create a property listing and complete the property disclosure form directly related documents, turning manual work into a review process. The agent’s role evolves from performing tasks to guiding and managing the work, leveraging AI as a support.
The role of AI is not to replace the broker, but to enhance efficiency and free up time for client work.
Linear’s long history in AI development
Even before the current breakthrough in AI development, the company had already introduced AIDA AI to the market. It has served as a daily support tool for agents and has so far automated the writing of listing descriptions. More than 40,000 property listings have had their descriptions generated with AIDA, and the solution has become an established part of agents’ daily workflows. In addition, Linear has been using AI for price and market estimations for several years, with the first solutions developed as early as six years ago.
Today, Linear’s brokerage system is used by more than 65% of real estate agents in Finland. This widespread adoption creates a strong foundation for applying AI in practical work. High-quality, large-scale data enables AI that is not based on generic models, but directly on data generated and used in real estate brokerage, forming the basis for an AI agent designed specifically for agents.
Over the past 1.5 years, Linear has explored new possibilities in AI with support from Business Finland. As a result of this research, the company has achieved a significant breakthrough in how real estate data can be utilized through generative AI as part of a brokerage system.
