Schibsted (now known as Vend), the operator behind the largest marketplaces in the Nordics, has invested in Linear.
For decades, Schibsted has provided real estate agents with its own PDX real estate software. However, while this long history brought experience, it also presented challenges — evolving the system to meet today’s demands proved difficult due to legacy technology. With a commitment to offering the best possible tools to its agent clients, Schibsted chose to join forces with Linear.
“We were impressed by Linear’s motivated, dedicated, and skilled team, which played a key role in our decision to partner. We now recommend our customers transition to Linear’s platform, which effectively serves a wide range of needs — from small agencies to large chains. As for PDX, our focus will shift toward developing our services for property developers. PDX Construction is already the most widely used solution in that segment, and we aim to deliver the best user experience for both current and future customers,” says Anna Leinonen, Director of Real Estate department at Schibsted Finland.
Schibsted will now focus on building Oikotie into Finland’s most attractive property marketplace, while Linear continues to offer the most competitive real estate system for daily brokerage operations. Both parties believe this decision lays the groundwork for long-term success. Schibsted’s partnership secures the continued and sustainable development of Linear’s platform.
“This collaboration will benefit the entire industry — both locally and internationally, as we aim to enable cross-border property transactions together. Despite the investment, Linear will remain a fully independent company and continue its growth journey, now with even stronger momentum,” comments Miro Eriksson, CEO of Linear.
